Sustainable development at the Lycée Claudel
Since 2020, the Lycée Claudel Sustainable Development Committee has been supporting members of the educational community in their projects to raise awareness of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations.
Through the action of eco-delegates, all students from kindergarten to Terminale, staff and families, the projects enable everyone to become aware of and get involved in global challenges, particularly those linked to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, peace and justice.
In recognition of its investment, the Lycée Claudel was awarded the Etablissement Français de l’Etranger en Démarche de Développement Durable (EFE3D) label – level commitment – in 2021, and level 3 was achieved in 2023.
To maintain this label, a Sustainable Development Campus meets every year to take stock of EcoTeam projects run by students and a few adults.
The projects that emerged from the 1st edition in April 2022 are listed below.
The various sub-headings on this page enable you to discover the actions underway around five themes:
- Boosting ESD in high schools: eco-delegates, SD campus, training…
- Fight against waste: actions on waste, energy, water, transport…
- High school for the environment: actions on biodiversity, human impact on living environments…
- Let’s take care of ourselves! actions around health.
- Solidarity and living together: solidarity projects, equality between girls and boys, the fight against discrimination…
