International Youth Games: Claudel in the race!
Qu’est-ce que sont les JIJ ?
Created in 2011 and the result of a partnership between the AEFE and the National Union of School Sports (UNSS), the International Youth Games will take place this year in the city of Chicago.
It is a unique event that allows the youth of the world to meet, exchange, share and discover different places with each new edition around sporting and cultural challenges:
For the sporting challenge
- Urban Orienteering
- Escalad
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Footgolf
- Sandball
- Kayak
- Paddle
- Aviron
- Flag football
For the cultural challenge
- An urban rally in the heart of Chicago
- An artistic segment prepared beforehand in every school
- An opening and closing ceremony
- An international closure ceremony
These games are the embodiment of the AEFE commitment around sport and shared values: to surpass oneself for the other, for the team, by giving one’s best.

- 61 mix teams
- 400 participants
- 43 countries from 5 continents
- 1 host city : Chicago
- 5 days of competitions
Out of the 115 applications submitted, Lycée Claudel was selected. A mixed team of 3 girls and 3 boys will represent the school and will be in Chicago.
